Paul Lee achieved his inaugural career victory in nitro Funny Car, and Shawn Langdon successfully defended his event title in Top Fuel.

Greg Anderson claimed a win in Pro Stock under highly unusual circumstances, marking a dramatic final eliminations day at the NHRA Arizona Nationals.

Shawn Langdon of Top Fuel secured his second consecutive victory at Firebird Motorsports Park on Sunday, defeating his Kalitta Motorsports teammate Doug Kalitta in the final round.

In addition, Paul Lee (Funny Car) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) claimed victories this year.

Paul Lee achieved his first career victory and became the 96th different Funny Car winner . He triumphed over the current world champion, Austin Prock, with a 4.030-second run at 313.22 mph in his 11,000-horsepower McLeod/FTI Performance Dodge Charger SRT. Lee's performance was impressive as he overcame numerous top competitors to secure his maiden win in the category.

In one of the most thrilling Pro Stock final rounds in recent history, Greg Anderson secured his second consecutive Phoenix victory when Dallas Glenn red-lighted in the final. Anderson, the current world champion, hardly moved from the starting line due to his car experiencing issues, losing power, and failing to reach half-track.

Langdon achieved the fastest series of eliminations in the championship round, clocking in at 3.724 seconds and reaching 330.39 mph in his 11,000-horsepower Kalitta Air Careers dragster to surpass Kalitta's 3.770 at 325.53 mph. This marked Langdon's second consecutive final round to start 2025, after defeating Scott Palmer, Justin Ashley, and Brittany Force earlier in the day, ultimately securing his 20th career victory and first of the season.
